“OUR ULTIMATE ROAD RACING FRAME"
KARL is our flagship road racing frame: a fully custom, handbuilt Italian steel racing bike created for riders who demand the highest level of performance, refinement and individuality.
More than any other road frame we build, KARL represents the culmination of our experience in designing and building high-performance steel bicycles.
Every aspect of the project can be developed around the individual rider — from geometry and frame dimensions to tubing selection, riding position and technical configuration.
KARL is not simply a custom version of an existing frame.
It is a bespoke road bike designed from the ground up around its rider.
Born from racing. Built for performance.
KARL was created to honour Carlo Galetti, the legendary Italian cyclist and three-time winner of the Giro d’Italia, whose story is deeply connected to our own origins, history and roots.
His name represents an important part of the racing heritage that inspires us.
With KARL, that heritage meets contemporary frame design and modern racing technology.
The result is a road racing frame that combines the elegance of traditional Italian framebuilding with an uncompromising approach to performance.
Our most advanced steel racing frame
KARL is the evolution of our road racing platform, redesigned around the latest technical and design solutions in high-performance road frames.
The frame uses oversized Columbus Spirit HSS steel tubing, carefully selected to achieve the combination of stiffness, responsiveness and ride quality required from a modern racing bicycle.
The lightweight head tube has been specifically developed to accommodate our new TRITTICO fork, together with an integrated headset featuring ceramic bearings.
The entire front end has been engineered as part of a single system, creating a precise and responsive steering platform.
Designed for maximum responsiveness
The goal behind KARL was clear: to create the most responsive road racing frame we have ever built.
The frame uses our BSA T47 – 68 mm bottom bracket, combined with a specially modified seat tube and oversized rear stays.
This combination increases lateral stiffness and contributes to a more immediate response when accelerating, sprinting or changing direction.
The result is a frame that feels direct under power while maintaining stability and precision when the road turns.
Custom geometry. Custom performance.
Because KARL is fully custom, the geometry is developed specifically around the individual rider.
Reach, stack, angles, proportions and frame dimensions can be defined according to the rider’s measurements, position, flexibility, riding style and performance requirements.
This allows us to create a racing bike that is not merely the correct size, but specifically engineered around the way its owner rides.
For a high-performance road bike, this distinction matters.
The objective is not simply to build a beautiful frame.
It is to create the most effective connection possible between rider, bicycle and road.
CNC-machined stainless steel dropouts
KARL features our own CNC-machined stainless steel dropouts, manufactured in our workshop and designed around the SRAM UDH standard.
The brake caliper integration is completely incorporated into the frame design, contributing to a cleaner appearance and a more coherent overall structure.
These details reflect our approach to framebuilding: every component should be considered as part of the complete bicycle rather than as an isolated element.
A completely integrated front end
The front end has been extensively redesigned in response to the growing demand for fully integrated handlebars and cockpit systems.
The frame, head tube and TRITTICO fork have been developed to work together as a complete system, creating a clean transition between the cockpit and frame.
The result is a front end that combines modern aerodynamic and aesthetic requirements with the precise steering characteristics expected from a racing bicycle.
Italian craftsmanship, refined to the smallest detail
KARL is as much about craftsmanship as it is about performance.
Every weld is carefully hand-finished and finely smoothed, creating exceptionally clean transitions between the tubes.
The result is an understated and elegant frame in which the quality of the construction can be appreciated through every line and junction.
The minimalist graphics also pay tribute to our heritage, bringing back the graphic stripes that have characterised our bicycles in the past, reinterpreted in a contemporary way.
The pinnacle of our road frame building
KARL represents the highest expression of our approach to steel road framebuilding.
It combines fully custom geometry, high-performance Columbus Spirit HSS tubing, modern integration, precision-machined components and meticulous Italian craftsmanship in one uncompromising racing frame.
It is designed for riders who are looking for more than a high-quality road bike.
They are looking for a bicycle that is unique to them, engineered around their body, their position and their way of riding.
Fully custom. Handbuilt in Italy. Designed for performance.
KARL is our most advanced and most refined road racing frame — created for riders who demand the very best from a steel bicycle.
In honour of Carlo Galetti
KARL carries the name of Carlo Galetti, three-time winner of the Giro d’Italia and an important part of the racing history that inspired our own journey.
His story is part of our heritage.
Grazie Carlo. Questo telaio è dedicato a te.
